Outstanding dispersion and imaging. Great clarity and details. Just as good at low volume as at high volume (and they can loud!). A bargain for the price.

I bought my first pair of M80's back in 2002 and was extremely pleased with their performance. I then had the opportunity to upgrade my speakers as I was putting together a Home theater system based on the boston cherry M80's that I had been using in my 2 channel system. I did look around a bit at other speakers as even as good as these are I know that there is better out there. It was just a question of how much more I would have to spend to get there. In the end I decided to stick with what I knew i would enjoy and bought another pair of M80's in the High Gloss cherry for my 2 channel system and am still a happy customer that probably says more about how much I enjoy these speakers than trying to describe their sound.

One of the best sounding speaker's I have heard, period. Excellent midrange and highs combined with nice tight bass. The only draw back is the 4ohm load and a somewhat dated/boxy look. The vinyl wrap is second to none for a realistic finish.

I thought you might like a little progress report on my home audition of the M 80s.

In a nutshell, you wonderful folks at Axiom have increased the quality of my life by a significant degree. I have always loved music and I spend an awful lot of time listening to it. Now there's just more to love. I'm hearing new sounds in music I've been listening to for over 20 years.

Being a drummer, I'm particularly elated at how well percussion is reproduced. For years I'd resigned myself to the notion that in recordings, drums are relegated to the background, shadowed by all the other instruments, and that's where they'll always be. Not anymore. Snares snap, crisp high-hats, reverberating cymbals, the tenor in tenor toms, and a real sweet spot kick from the bass drum. I'm happy.

Then, from Bach to Hendrix, there are the strings. Ok, now you're not budging from your listening chair for the rest of the day. That's because you're right there, live at the recording. I never thought Jimi could sound any better. I'm thinking Ian used Electric Ladyland as a reference when he designed the M 80s.

Another thing that strikes me is the way the speakers reveal the quality of various recordings; the title of an old Clint Eastwood film comes to mind. But that's not your problem.

So, I'm afraid you're not getting these speakers back. And I may have just become an Axiom lifer. Thank you.

I must tell you all that I was amazed with what I was hearing from these speakers they are awesome, I can compare them with ones costing 10 times more. Not only do they sound fantastic but looks great. I will be sending Annie pictures of my Home Theatre so it can be posted on the the Hall of fame section. Please note that I will not be using your 30 day money back warranty as I am VERY satisfied with my purchase, those Axiom M80ti are unbelievable. The box was damage when I have received it but the content was complete and intact, without a single scratch. If it hadn't been from my neighbor, I would have been staring at the speakers all night without being able to listen to them as I had no receiver to use with them. Finally my neighbor saved the day by bringing 2 Marantz MA-500 the same product I will be purchasing soon and I hooked up my Nomad
MP3 player to test it and was VERy VERY impressed by the quality of the sound. So was my neighbor that currently own a Anthem AVM-20, Anthem PowerAmp, Paradigm 2 x Monitor 9, 2 Monitor 7, matching center + Sub. and has much more experienced with Audio and said that I had bought a very good product for the money I paid and that he might be reconsidering is future purchase of Paradigm Reference Studio 100, not bad eh?

Oh I forgot to mention that I did this setup while my wife was away for the evening and she knew the money I had spent which to her was a lot of $$$. I thought I would be killed when she got home... But instead, we sat on the couch from 11pm to 1am to listen to a bunch of great songs which were perfectly rendered by the M80ti. She had never listened to music this way before and was very impressed and I am still alive to talk about it. I even mentioned about how I would build my other zones in the house with your other lines of speaker :-)

All in all I am very pleased with your product and am looking forward to completing my setup to include more speakers and buying my Receiver and my PowerAmp. I will not hesitate to brag to my friends of the quality of the M80ti and make sure to test my audiophile friend's knowledge of sound quality.

Speakers arrived in perfect condition although the exterior boxes took a beating. Soundwise, very impressive soundstage, wide, high, and deep.  I especially like the resolving power of these speakers to differentiate instruments and vocals. 

I'm running Parasound Line Drive 1500 preamp, and a Carver TFM 45 amp as this is my personal office system.  Sounds every bit as good as some $30,000 systems I've looked at.

I like them so much, I'm buying a sub woofer from you guys next week.

Auditioned B&W6S3 and B&W604S3. Those speakers were not even close to Axiom M80ti. Decided to give Axioms a try. Very detailed and perfectly balanced. Very clean sound. And the thing was that we would never have the chance to listen to them prior purchasing them, and with speakers that’s really something tricky. I mean you got to have a lot of faith in the company to buy some speakers without ever listening to them.

But thankfully, as I have expected, they we’re all I was hopping for…and then more.

I got to say that I was playing with advantage in this bet I made, as the price is really unbeatable, and the fact that the speaker has that impressive array of cones, and also being them of aluminium, that the guys at the local home cinema shop tell us that they are the most bass giving material for a cone (we never have enough bass). I knew that the tower must have a deep powerful bass but I was concerned you know about the mids and high frequencies and if that bass would be just distortion or a controlled one. I mean it would be hard for me you know, if the speakers ended up sounding not good enough for our expectations, as after all I had come up with the idea and all, I would be held totally responsible for any fiasco.

But after much test, the speakers came out outstanding in all respects. Excellent in bass mid and high. They can give you a subtle acoustic guitar, ultra clean vocals, while at the same time rock you with a real powerful heavy metal distortion. And that's not that easy to find. Oh! And I love that cool leather like air exits!

They behaved as expected in every respect. I love them!

I think they beat many speakers of other brands at more than double the price, and that’s saying something with all the competition that there is out there these days. My brother is really happy with them so I’m happy too. So congrats from a pair of satisfied customers. These things rock!

"I received my pair of Axiom Millennia M80 Ti loudspeakers several weeks ago and was immediately impressed by the physical construction of them. A solid almost seamless enclosure, I say enclosure because while anyone can build a speaker box, at Axiom, their unique "Anti Standing Wave" design truly sets them apart. They contained the most state of the art dual 6.5" and 5.25" pure aluminum drivers, dual 1" titanium tweeters and finished off with gold plated connection terminal posts for the best possible signal transfer. The fit and finish of these speakers makes other companies pale by comparison.

While still in awe of the physical aspects of these units, I proceeded to hook them up to my home theatre system. Once in place, (placement for these units is not at all difficult I found that 18" - 20" away from the wall worked very well) I found a few of my favorite movies and proceeded to give these speakers a run through the gambit over the next several days. As I watched and listened I was surprised (pleasantly) to find that I was hearing undertones and ambient sounds that were previously missed by my old loudspeakers. I was also surprised to discover that from the lowest to highest volumes I was unable to create any distortion or dead air hum. With bright, sharp and clean precision, the screaming guitar of Joe Satriani, the digital electronic grunge metal of White Zombie and some extreme sound effects came to existence within the walls of my living room. The M80Ti's sound is that of a balanced harmony. With all the highs, mids and bass complementing each other and working together to create a soundstage that is clean, crisp and clear. Not only do these loudspeakers sound great and look good, but also the R&D people at Axiom have seemingly mastered the dilemma of the phase shift as you move across the field of sound. (Move from left to right in front of the speaker system). The over all resolution and imaging of the M80Ti's is, in my opinion Unrivaled.

Having used and tested loudspeakers from many different companies Mission, Paradigm, PSB and Bose to name a few each of these companies has a loud speaker that will compare to the Axiom M80Ti. However if you do your research you will find as I have, (It only took me years) that for the price, the Axiom speaker Company has produced a top quality product for the audiophile, at a price that I can only call a great deal.

At 15:40 I completed cleaning and connecting my system to my speakers and turned it on. 30 years ago I bought my first stereo system, and when I tested it I had this feeling of total amazement and pride. Over the years I replaced certain components and speaker parts, to keep this original feeling I have for my system. I've always been a firm believer in the bookshelf/subwoofer system for audio. In any tower speaker I'd ever heard, the upper-bass was always loose, and muddled. For that reason, I'd always bought and owned high quality bookshelf speakers, and mated them with a good subwoofer. (And that's still a terrific way to go) Then I heard the M60ti's. Holy cow. Clarity throughout the audio range. Bass is very tight and clean. Midrange is clear - voices sound like they're right there in the room with you. And the highs? You'll hear things you've never heard before. You can hear the guitar pick in accoustic guitar. You'll hear Norah Jones' delicate inhale before singing. It's all there. I love listing to speakers. I go out listening all the time, and I've yet to hear something that has made me want to trade my M60ti's in. They are very similar in sound/tone/detail as the MUCH more expensive B&W 703's. If you've heard those, and just couldn't afford their $2500+ price tag, give the Axiom M60ti's a try.

Hi, - just wanted to let everybody know how happe I am with my new speakers, - not to mention how fast they arrived, - ordered wednesday, got it friday, - I live in Denmark! I have a large collection of cd's and old lp's, - and everything sounds fantastic, - jazz, classical, symphony, piano, song etc. I also have the speakers connected to my television and the stereo image are much better than my old Sony 5.1 system, - I mean I actually saw "snakes on a plane" because of the thunder storms! My wife and I are both trained concert pianists, - so you should think we are used to using our ears, - these are the best speakers I have ever had, - thanks. It's really true, - you want to listen to all your old records/cd's again just to see how well these speakers make them sound.

I have had these speakers for several months now and I listened to many many speakers in and above their price range. NOTHING even came close. The only speakers that sounded better but cost considerably more were the martin logans, and not even their base model. I will put these up against nearly anything. I wish they went a little lower in deep base dept but within their range they are strong iand very accurate - what a lesson B & W could learn from you! someday your sub will back them up anyway. Thank you for your advice on the M60's.  I received a pair yesterday, and after auditioning them with 'Peppino D'Agostino's'  high resolution 5.1 DVD, it was instantly apparent  that this was an excellent upgrade from a pair of AX 1.5's. Not only do these speakers look outstanding, but the depth and detailed sound  that emanates from them, is nothing short of spectacular.  I had no idea that my Home Theatre System could sound so good. The rest of the set up consist of AX 1.5's,  AX2's  and AX 1.2's.  It was very interesting to hear these older model Axiom's become more alive with the introduction to their new big brothers  -  Quite Amazing . I am so pleased with this purchase that I will be ordering the M60's matching center channel - the VP150.  . . . .In Closing  -  Axiom Audio can keep my money - 'cause ya ain't getting these back

I am the satisfied owner of five Axiom speakers and awaiting delivery of two more. I bought a pair of M60s and M3s in Feb. 03 to replace my 14 year old 12 inch 3 way towers and 8 inch 2 way surrounds. I chose Axiom after week of research on the web and in person auditions. I had some doubts as to the bass of the M60s due to the 6 1/2 inch drivers. Chose the M3s as replacements for the surrounds because I was used to the "bookshelf" style speakers and was unfamiliar with the "surround" style speakers. When I received the speakers it was a matter of minutes when I put the issue of the bass abilities of the M60s to rest. The tight and clean low end of the M60s was every bit as good as the old 12 inchers. Time and technology works wonders because I never thought I would settle for less than a 12 inch woofer. As for the M3s, I was curious about this unit as the reviews were all almost too good so I hooked the M3s up as a stereo pair and listened to them for a couple of days. I was really impressed at the sound of these speakers. They were somewhat smaller than my old 8 inch bookshelfs that had acted as my surrounds but sounded much better. In a word they were CLEANER. I decided to move the M3s to the bedroom and I created a sound system with the M3s and an old receiver a dual cassette deck and a cd changer. This is Not a state-of-the-art rig but it really sounds great in the small room and it sings me to sleep most nights. Next I bought a pair of QS8s to fill in the living room as true "surrounds". I was very pleased at the effects of the QS8s. They spread the sound around the listening area like butter on warm toast. The surround style speakers are much better than the bookshelf type at creating an enveloping and realistic sound field. One thing, the QS8s are quiet powerful and can shift the emphasis to the rear of the room if you let the rear levels get too high. I probably would have been completly satisified with the QS4s but I'll be keeping my QS8s. Next was the VP150 center and as with the other Axioms it is doing a great job. I dont always have the center channel on when I am watching TV or listening to CDs but it really shines on DVD dialog. All of these speakers will play louder than I can tolerate and do so cleanly. As so many others have added I too am rediscovering my music collection. Boy does it sound great. I am buying a new receiver 7.1 for the living room and am waiting on my M2s for rears. I highly recommend Axiom speakers for any music style or room size. They look and sound great.

Thanks for the follow up.I finally got my speaker placement finalized yesterday.They sound good from anywhere in the room.These are the first speakers I've owned that sound best with my tone controls on flat; regardless of the input material.Obviously an indication of sound engineering.No more suspending myself upside down from the ceiling to get in the sweet spot.

I placed my web order yesterday at 11 a.m. The order arrived this morning at exactly 11 a.m. - I was blown away. Plus the Purolator guy was a big hi-fi buff and seemed thrilled to be delivering a serious speaker system.

I had been comparing the M60s to what I was familiar with in my old speakers.
After a little time away, I was listening to the Axioms without bias. They are the most balanced, cleanest, least coloured speakers I have heard in a home listening environment.

Needless to say they are equally spectacular with home theater soundtracks.
The Axiom center channel speaker is a perfect timbre match.

Many reviewers talk about how great Axiom speakers are "especially for the price". These are great speakers - PERIOD.

The speakers arrived in good condition. There was some box damage with one box having tire marks on the side like a vehicle brushed it, but it did not penetrate the second layer. The handles in the box were very helpful. Attention to detail even in the packing!

The speakers sound terrific! It didn't take me long at all to position them correctly, and now I have that "wall of sound" that I hear people describing on the forum. I also see what people mean about vocals "coming to life". Needless to say, I'm very happy with them and I expect to be purchasing a center and four surrounds in the near future. Thank you again,

I received my Axiom M60ti speakers yesterday and immediately set them up....I've listened to them for 4hrs non stop and all I can say is..they are fabulous!!!! the speaker itself is gorgeous and the sound is just PHENOMENAL...Thank you for putting out such an outstanding product!!!! I confess now that I had my reservations evnthoug I read lots of reviews on the net, compounds that with the fact that axiom is not well known or a brand people recognize...Let me assure you that I will "plug" axiom anytime I get the chance.....Is there any "thing" i should do or you recommend to keep my axioms looking great, as far as maintenance I mean? I received the speakers on Jan. 7th in very excellent condition...no dent, no blemishes whatsoever. I was very excited when I got it and hooked up right away to my Denon AVR-3805 and the sound was so amazing. I was almost blown away by the sound. No need to break in, the M60Ti did its job right from the box. You did a very good job designing these speakers, they're magnificent... Congratulations to all of you in Axiom. The reviews were right, no need for audition. I'll be back to you when I need to upgrade my surround speakers.

As for the mighty M60s themselves, I'm thrilled with their performance thus far! They've replaced a pair of PSB Image 4Ts, which I still highly enjoy, however the M60s are surely a more competant pair of speakers for music, and I belive music is a taller order for a speaker than home-theatre use. I no longer use my EP-175 for music, as I always have with the PSB 4Ts. The M60s have plenty of authoritative bass on their own, mids are clear and present, and the highs are sweet without ever becoming fatiguing, sizzly, or generally obnoxious, as other tweeters of lower-priced speakers can be.

I'm fully satisfied with my M60s, and don't expect to buy any more speakers for some time, but when the need arises, you can bet Axiom will the first brand I look to. Thanks again for your great products, ridiculous prices, and fabulous customer-service. Cheers!

I got the speakers Thurs. afternoon. I played a album I know real well by Diana Krall. The first cut was Lets face the music and dance. The speakers instantly disappeared. It was like Diana Krall was right in the room.

Sunday afternoon a friend of mine brought over The day after tomorrow.
With addition of the the M60S The sound was nothing short of amazing.
The LFE could knock the china out of the closet.

I know with time they will only improve. I'm really happy with these speakers already. I definitely made the right choice with Axiom.

Two days before, I have been to a well known audio store in Montreal where they let me listened to Paradigm, BW and others (about the same configuration as the 60).....just for fun to compare....even if I knew already that I would tried yours.....
Even If I didn't have had lots of time yet to fully appreciate your speakers, I can tell you that I feel that your speakers are as quality good as the others sold at that store.
Sound, presence, etc....they are superb.

For 1100$ canadien it's a steel!......compared to the 1500$ to 2000$ of the Paradigm and BW, etc.

Thought I would drop you a line and let you know how impressed I am with these speakers. They're about 3 months old now and they're sounding better every day and they sound better the louder I play them! I got them up front with your M3ti on the B channel it's the best combination I've ever had and I've been through a lot of speakers.
Last night my buddy was over and we put on Van Halen First CD and opened a beer. We thought Eddie was playing in my front room the midrange on those speakers is so good. He thought I had a sub he couldn't believe it when I popped the grill off and showed him those two little 6.5 inch drivers. Those are great drivers! Needless to say he just payed twice as much for his speakers and was ready to throw them away after hearing mine. Thanks.

I want to say Thank You for making such a fine speaker. I received them this morning and have had them on all day. I find them naturally clear and very detailed. Smooth, with nice presence and wonderfully energetic. They have great punch with Rock music and good slam with Dance music yet are able to sing sweetly with easy listening and 1950's exotica lounge music. The one word to describe the M50ti is EXCELLENT! (Also, I can't find a single blemish on these factory outlet seconds!)

Got the speakers. I'm disappointed about one thing. I don't need the new sub-woofer I got. How can you build speakers for $500 that don't need a sub-woofer? I'm going to put my new sub-woofer on ebay to sell it. I could have bought the m60ti's instead of the m40ti's and the sub-woofer. Oh well. You guys make excellent speakers and I'm happy with the m40's and I will be a proponent of your products.

The price/performance factor on these M40Ti's is incredible. Wanted to get M60ti's but when I saw that these were being discontinued I couldn't pass them by. My 15yr old son now has my M3Ti's and I'm enjoying these towers and hearing all my cd's in a new way. I will move up to an Axiom 3-way tower in the future but for know these sound so good!! Thanks for making some of the best loudspeakers available at a price that can't be beat.

I received my M40's in excellent condition just 2 days after ordering them. Brent had recommended this model for me and I was very impressed with them when I listened to them for the first time since I have never heard them in a store. I was considering purchasing Paradigm Monitor 5's (which I listened to at a retailer) before I spoke with Brent and \'m glad that I decided to try the Axioms. They are simply AWSOME! I couldn't believe how crisp and clear the highs were and how deep the bass is from such a small 2-way system. They blow away the competion at a more reasonable cost. I was seeking a pair of speakers for my den, and I have to admit that I am a novice in the field of picking out suitable speakers. My first response was to visit Circuit City and Best Brands to secure some knowledge and suggestions, and my experience convince me that their young sales people knew less than I did. Next, I visited the "high brow" stereo stores and I found their sales people were cold and indifferent.

Searching the Internet for some advice, I came across the Axiom website. I search all the audio magazine articles and consumer reviews, and became interested in the M40's. I spoke many times with the Axiom technical people and they were always informative and showed patience in responding to my many questions.

Taking the plunge, I ordered the M40's tower speakers which I had never even heard. I received the M40's five days after I ordered them, and all I can say is WOW! These speakers surpass all expectations that I had for them. They are a delight to listen to the clarity of the sound, and there is plenty of bass in the background. For those of you that might have any hesitation in purchasing speakers without even hearing them beforehand, you will not be disappointed in dealing with Axiom. Their speakers and their support is golden!
