Listeners who are searching for loud, clean, and powerful playback levels of rock, rap, and classical bass, orchestral bass drum, pipe organ, and thrilling DVD movie playback should look closely at this system. The Axiom Epic 60 / 500 system scales up the performance level of the standard Epic 60 / 350 by combining the new Epicenter EP500 DSP 500-watt subwoofer with the larger five-driver VP150 center channel. This system is ideal for demanding listeners who want spectacularly deep subwoofer bass to 15 Hz and below, combined with the ability to play powerful bass frequencies at very loud levels in substantial rooms. Ideal for rooms of 2,100 cu. ft. to 6,000 cu ft. and those with vaulted ceilings, “great rooms” and dedicated home theaters, the Epic 60 / 500 results in a large increment in powerful deep bass and improves overall dialog intelligibility for larger rooms and listening distances greater than 15 feet.
The award-winning Epicenter EP500 subwoofer achieves ultra-low bass with none of the uneven performance of conventional subs. The Axiom custom-programmed Intelligent DSP “algorithm” controls every frequency from 16 Hz to 100 Hz, maintaining a smooth, flat response within 1.5 dB across the range. That means you'll hear undistorted, profoundly deep rumbles all the way to 13 Hz or even deeper in typical rooms. And the sophisticated DSP chip inside prevents the EP500 from ever being overdriven into distortion.
The M60 main towers that anchor the system achieve wide dynamic range and excellent, clean, high-volume performance with an airy, spacious soundstage and neutral, high-accuracy music reproduction. At an attractive 37-inch height, the M60 features dual 6.5-inch aluminum-cone woofers, a dedicated 5.25-inch midrange, and a one-inch titanium-dome tweeter. The VP150 center's five drivers have exceptional power handling and wide dispersion for fine dialog intelligibility and a seamless front soundstage. Coupled with the EP500 sub, the system will deliver realistic, high-volume multi-channel surround sound with music or movie soundtracks at a performance level that high-end audiofiles and home theater enthusiasts will applaud. The QS8 quadpolar surrounds, with four drivers each, deliver an astonishing sense of envelopment in the ambient soundfield with movies or music. Center and surrounds can be wall-mounted or stand-mounted.

"The Axiom M60 v2 performs so far above its price that it might be the best speaker bargain today for under $1000/pair." - Philip Beaudette, GoodSound

"Sonically, the Axiom Epic 60-500 system brought it all together, with frequency response as wide as one could want: true 20-20 kHz performance, exceptional dynamics, and a sound that was detailed and free of listener fatigue at virtually any level. Timbre matching was excellent... a high level of performance for the price. I liked its natural and effortless quality with both soundtracks and music, and highly recommend it..."
-- Andrew Marshall, Audio Ideas Guide

“ At a price-point of only a shade over $2,000, the "Epic 60" system delivers a bona fide value proposition at this level of performance . Those who take their home theater seriously could easily spend more, but the marginal increase in performance gleaned from a much more expensive system is not even remotely matched by the competitiveness of the "Epic 60's" pricing."

"Axiom's Epic 60 home-theater speaker system is a remarkable value and a well-balanced system. This Axiom speaker ensemble performs exceptionally well, especially considering its more-than-fair price. If you're shopping for home-theater speakers, these should definitely be on your must-audition list."

Customer Comments Customer CommentsBelow are a few of the many reviews that our customers have been kind enough to send us.
The weather in Toronto yesterday was quite bad so I decided to have a "Snow Day" and work from home. It also gave me the opportunity to hook up my system. All I can say is UNBELIEVABLE, the sound is superb and everything was easy to install with the detailed instructions you provide. Thank you Brent for convincing me to buy the subwoofer, it really makes all the difference in the world.
When you are making a significant purchase basically sight unseen (sound not heard), especially on the Internet you really need reassurance that you are doing the right thing. The Customer Service and Technical support that I received from both of you convinced me that Axiom was the Company that I wanted to do business with. Your timely e-mail replies on all of the questions I asked made the sale. All of this combined with the 24 hour door to door delivery of the system just amazed me.
Great work, Great product and from a Canadian company in Dwight Ontario no less.
I am just sorry that I can't enjoy the "Buying Experience" with Axiom more often, but as you can appreciate you don't purchase speaker systems every day! If I can ever be of assistance in convincing someone to purchase your product please don't hesitate in contacting me.
