Welcome Message:
Every member of our Axiom team, myself included, is pleased that you have decided on one of our products. We have all worked hard to bring the highest level of satisfaction to your audio experiences, and will continue to work hard to make every Axiom purchase a wise audio investment for you.

Axiom is deeply committed to ongoing audio research that continues to enhance the performance of our products. We design and engineer all of our loudspeakers based on the world-class psycho-acoustical research that was conducted at the National Research Council and that I have been an integral part of since its early years. This research changed the way that sound is measured, and allows Axiom to provide the world’s most realistic-sounding loudspeakers at amazing value to the consumer. By emphasizing the practical side of our ongoing research, Axiom continues to extend people’s expectations of performance.

It is our central goal at Axiom to turn this research into a truly exciting experience for you in your environment. Our commitment to the delivery of the most accurate sound reproduction is a commitment to heighten the level of enjoyment you receive from music and movies.

We at Axiom see our customers as family members and as such we stand at the ready to deliver personal, expert advice and to follow up on any of your audio needs.

Sincerely,

Ian Colquhoun

Location:
This is by far the most important step before we even begin the installation. For the most effective placement the speakers should be at roughly the same height as the middle of the TV screen they are to be used with, one to the left and one to the right of the screen. Otherwise, a height of five or six feet from the floor and in between the studs of the wall is ideal. Avoid corner locations if possible. Separate the left and right speakers by about 5 to 10 feet, or roughly half the listening distance. Please make sure the speaker wire has a clear path from your stereo or A/V receiver to the placement of your speaker.

The Axiom Architectural Speakers are designed to be installed in the common stud wall with drywall or some similar type wall board covering. For other types of walls special installation procedures will need to be used.

Step 1:
Step 1
Using the supplied template and a level (not included) mark an outline of the wall cutout to place the Architectural Speakers. Be sure to avoid the wall studs by at least 1.5 inches on each side. Then carefully cut the selected area using a jigsaw or drywall saw.

Warning: Make sure there aren’t any other wires, pipes, or other fixtures that might be in the wall before cutting.

Step 2:

Place the wall-mount frame in the wall cutout from Step 1. The frame is marked “TOP” for proper orientation of the speaker (models W2 & W3).

Step 3
Step 3
Set your level on top of the frame. As you tighten the screws, the metal frame should push out behind the wall to create a clamp. This can be helped along by pushing it out with your fingers. Tighten each of the screws to clamp the frame to the wall (the screws should be snug but not forced).

Step 4:
Step 4
If your speaker wire is not already installed in the wall you will need to run it down inside your wall to your baseboard and then around the room to your amplifier or receiver.

Step 5:
Step 5
Insert the speaker wire into the hole in the binding posts of the Architectural Speaker, keeping the red and black (positive and negative) connections consistent. Use the supplied wrench to tighten down each nut to hold the wires in place.

Step 6:
Step 6
Finally, mount the Architectural Speaker by sliding the speaker into the wall-mount frame using the middle indent as a guide. When the speaker contacts the wall, push in and down to lock it in place.
