Surround sound is the most exciting part of home theater - and Axiom's QS4 surround speakers place you in the center of the action. Using unique multi-directionally firing drivers, the QS4 has woofers on the top and bottom, and tweeters left and right, to provide unprecedented envelopment for all listeners.

Sound is transmitted in four directions (see diagram), tricking your ears so they can't tell where the speaker is. All you'll feel is complete immersion in the movie or music soundtrack. Unlike traditional direct-radiating surround speakers that have just two drivers, the QS4's four drivers effectively mimic the special sound effects of large Dolby movie theaters for all seats in the room.

The unique Quadpolar configuration of these speakers was developed by Axiom using extensive research and controlled surround-sound double-blind listening tests. This means your surround-sound experience will be more convincing, more realistic for movie soundtracks and multi-channel music playback.

This is a great choice for small to medium rooms, using moderate to high amplification. We recommend this surround speaker with our M2s, M3s, and M50 tower speaker. Binding posts are high-quality 5-way gold-plated connectors.

There are several mounting options for this easy-to place speaker. You can use the free included T-Bracket to flush-mount the QS4 on a wall. Alternatively, Axiom's Full Metal Bracket will let you tilt or swivel the QS4, for placement on angled wall or bulkhead. We also offer a Full Metal Ceiling Bracket so that you can hang the QS4s in the room. We also recommend the specially designed FMS QS that allows the bottom woofer to fire freely. Please note the speaker cannot sit on a bookshelf - it has to be elevated.

. . .last night I was looking out my window to see whether it was raining, but then I realized that the sound was actually in the movie I was watching.  I am truly amazed at the the truly surrounding sound that the QS4s create. My roommate actually mistook the sound of the EP500 subwoofer for our downstairs neighbors knocking their ceiling!! Thank you! I am very satisfied. -- Andre N., GA I want to let you know what a wonderful addition this QS4 has been for my home theater as the back surround for 6.1! I've always read and been told that my room (12.5 x 12.5) with the sofa only 1 foot from the wall was too small for 6.1 to make a difference. However, I was always annoyed at my ability to localize the rear channels when off center from the room, or by turning my head slightly sideways or up and down. The addition of a 6.1 speaker has made a world of difference. I cannot localize any of the speakers. The rear ambience is now perfectly seamless! My wife typically regards my tweaks and upgrades as frivolous, but even she appreciates what a difference was made by the 6.1 upgrade. I had previously tried using direct radiators for 6.1 and did not like or think it made a real difference. The quadpole design is perfectly suited for the rear channels. I am very impressed that such a little speaker can produce so much clear all-around sound! I have not even mounted them on the wall yet and they sound fantastic. My jumbo sized old speakers didn't even come close to performing to the same level of sound quality and took way to much space! Friends of mine have wired their whole house with your speakers so I knew I would be happy!
