Based on our latest home theater speaker, the VP160, the VP160 In-Cabinet is the best center channel speaker for our M60 in-cabinet speakers as well as any other speakers in our tower lineup. Designed to place dialog right in the center of the action, the VP160 in-cabinet center channel features the same 6.5-inch woofers, 5.25-inch midrange, and 1-inch titanium tweeter as the tower speaker, to present a seamless soundstage across your screen.

The result? Everything from the most intimate whispers to booming military commands come through loud and crystal-clear.You'll get lost in the action, instead of asking other people in the room what the characters just said! Prepare to be transported into movies and music. It is the ultimate home theater goal!

This is not a center channel for the faint of heart, though: it's monsterous! In order to replicate the cabinet volume of the M60s (important for creating similar-sounding bass response), we had to go big-big-BIG! And if the size wasn't enough, we added two of our signature vortex ports to give you even more great bass detailing. You will never miss a word again!

Center channels transmit the lion's share of the dialog in a movie or 5.1-channel television broadcast, and the best center channel speakers match your existing front left-and-right channel's drivers - the woofers, tweeters and midranges that make up a speaker. The VP160's driver configuration is the exact replication of the M60, creating an open, spacious, seamless sound that pans across the front of your room smoothly, enveloping you in luscious sound.

The VP160 In-cabinet speaker uses the same size enclosure as our standard VP160 center speaker, but it is front-ported, with a slim baffle that protrudes ever so slightly from the cabinet.

The VP160 In-cabinet speaker is offered in a paintable version to match any custom installation or room décor, or Axiom will paint it for you using a paint code you provide. If real wood is your taste then the VaSSallo version with a solid, real-wood front baffle (not a veneer) that can be custom finished by a cabinet-maker to match the surrounding cabinetry in a home (Axiom will also custom-finish to order).
