A work in progress

Well at last I have the QS8's installed and wired and have finished my cabinet for the VP150.

It's not as flash as some but it's all mine \:\)

Now I wish the dollar would go up so I can get the EP500 and the M80's

Nice! I like your speaker decorations.

As to the value of the Oz$, it will come back up. Asia is going to perk up a lot sooner than the US.

Graeme -

Great looking setup. The wood on your TV cabinet is very nice.

The nice thing about the way you're doing it is that you'll really get to enjoy each new speaker by itself and then experience the fun of adding on as you add new components. The M80s + EP500 will both be fantastic additions whenever you add them.

On an unrelated note, is it just me or is the tweeter on your tower speaker off-center? \:\)

Graeme,

Nice setup!

You may want to try flipping over the 150 so it's angled more at your seats instead of upwards. I'm not guaranteeing it'll sound better, but it's worth checking out if you haven't already! \:\)

I wonder if you will find the axiom speaker combination to have tighter and lean bass than your present setup

I'll give it a shot and see if there is any difference.

The sub is so cuuuuuutteeeeee! I agree about flipping the center channel. Its hard to tell how high it is but it seems like by the time it gets to the seats its aiming above your head...ish...

Graeme, nice work on the cabinet/tv shelf! I have the same issue as you and will be constructing a cabinet/tv shelf to house my VP150. What did you use for gription where the shelf walls met the main stand. I can see 3 white rubber stoppers on each side? Also, I will be using 1/2" oak and will be spray paintig the shelf black to match my system. Does anybody see a problem with spray painting the wood and having it look decent. Thanks for any advice, wood work is not my strength.
