HG Rosewood's (I think I'm done)

I am putting the link up for my previous gallery so I won't have to post all my old pics back here. My system has changed quite a bit since I joined up here a few years ago. In this gallery I will give all the details of my current setup and hopefully my last setup. So here we go!

http://www.axiomaudio.com/boards/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showgallery&Number=212511#comments

All my speakers have the HG Rosewood finish. the setup has:
Fronts M80's
Centre VP180
Side Surrounds A's M80's
Side Surrounds B's QS8's
Rear Surround VP150
Subwoofers front l and r EP800's
Subwoofer rear EP500

Other equipment
Powering the front soundstage Axiom A1400-8
Powering all the surrounds in bridged mode Denon POA-A1HDCI
Pre-Pro Denon AVP-A1HDCI
Universal player OPPO BDP-83
DVD player OPPO DV-983H
Satellite Receiver Bell 9242
Apple TV
Monitors 60" Pioneer Kuro PRO-141FD For watching visuals
23" Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD For listening to music

That's it.
I will "suffer" with what I currently have until death us do part. laugh
Maybe one day I will get a proper HT room but not in my current house. Luckily I have no more room for speakers.

I bet that will be a treat; it's on my list!

I've got the blue man group bluray. Not my type of thing but I will put it in the player to see if I hear anything from the rear surround.

So I watched the blue man group bluray for a couple of sections ( that's all I could handle). I first watched in 5.1 and then I watched in DTS Neo 6. What I did notice from the 5.1 to the 6.1 was the small gap in sound i hadn't noticed in 5.1 seemed to not be there in the 6.1. I will have to experiment some more when I have more time.

The new 7.1 mix on The Nightmare Before Christmas BD has a lot of activity on the rear channels.

How big is your room.

Can you tell us something about the bass combos ep500 v.s. ep800 v.s. 2 ep800s v.s. ep800+ep500 v.s. 2ep800+ep500.

I was wondering if in a 12 x 17' room if 2 ep800s (or some combo of 800 and ...) would be waste and sound no better then say 2 ep500s.

I hate to say this but I don't really know the measurements of my room at the moment (I believe it's 15' x 17'). I'm in Chicago at this time but when I get back home I will post the dimensions.
The EP500 worked great in my room but when the EP800 came out I had to have it. The later I wanted a matching set up front, didn't want matching 500's but matching 800's. If I had a choice between the 500 or 800 it would definitely be the 800. Lower frequencies and power. I just got a little carried away with my system but I think I have recovered and that's it. Except maybe the QS8 for the rear.
Sorry I'm not much help here.
