Outriggers, round two

Here is the mods recommended by everyone...thanks all!

I've beefed up the materials a little, stretched it out further, removed the center bar, added slots for better speaker fitting and made the spikes larger to allow better clearance under the speaker.

Further suggestions are welcome!

I don't love the cylindrical, metal nipples on the top. I mean, I understand you need a way to provide a way to attach the threaded insert for the spikes, but I wonder if you couldn't add a threaded nut sort of thing on the BOTTOM of the unit to keep the appearance cleaner.

The surface area above the spikes looks smaller on the back than on the front; I'm not sure I have a preference, but I think they should be consistent. I kind of like the back one, where it appears that there is only enough on that surface to accommodate the diameter of the spike plus a uniform border.

Picky. I'm glad _I_ don't have to build a set of these to your specs! grin

I too don't care for the cylindrical nipple but it solves the problem of attaching adjustable spikes. I plan on addressing this in future builds. Adding a nut would be cleaner but I'm not convinced yet that this is the answer.

Good eye! The back is a smaller surface. I am planning to use either the front or the back as my template. I guess your vote is for the back wink

Thanks
