With some subs you can run a preamp loop (I assume you're talking about doing that) but I don't believe any of the ones I'm interested in provide that option. If they did I'd probably go that route rather than high level. Axiom M3Ti NAD C320BEE, C542, PP-2, Rega P2 w/ Denon DL110 Grado SR325 HT in the living room
