Heart rate in the 'zone' for a min of 30 minutes a day not just activity for 30 min. So 10-15 minutes of warm up and then the same for cool down, you are now up to 45 minutes or so a day.

But to me any activity is better than sitting whether or not the heart rate reaches optimum levels or not.
