I thought we should share our resolutions for the coming year so we can make fun of each other should we fail to live up to them.
Just a minute ago I was thinking it would be cool to write a series of books, but a series consisting of only one and a half books. I'm calling it a hemi-trilogy. This way I can write a "series" without putting in so much work, as I'll only have to come up with one idea that sustains a whole novel, and the other just needs half an idea, right? And I'll definitely be making the half-novel the second part of the hemi-trilogy. I'm thinking that people, knowing it's only a half-novel, will already have lowered expectations for the outcome, so if the ending is only decent people will still be impressed.
My other resolution is to go on a date.
