Can you ceiling mount the surrounds or place them on the back wall to keep them from being 3 feet in front of you?

My couch is against my back living room wall, and due to placement issues ( no wall on left side and brick fireplace wall on the right) I had to place my QS8's on the back wall. They are spread out fairly far and are about 6 feet off the ground.

They sound great!
