Umpire Joe West is my new favorite fat guy, having justifiably called out the Yankees and Red Sox for slow play, calling them "a disgrace to baseball".

Seriously, why do batters have to get out of the box and tug at both gloves after EVERY PITCH? Baseball games were 2 hours when I was growing up, not 3 hours. And there is just no excuse for a 4-hour, 9-inning game.

Just another reason to loathe the other AL East teams.
