I am thinking of getting a pair of M80's for my new listening room (currently under renovation).

To drive them I was considering a pair or Red Dragon M-500 monoblocks. $1400, see http://www.reddragonaudio.com/products/m-500-monoblocks/

My source is a Squeezebox Touch which I would connect directly to the monoblocks. I have no other sources, so initially I saw no point in getting a preamp.

My room is rather large, 4500 cu.ft., so in the future I might want to add a subwoofer. However, I cannot see how to fit the subwoofer into the Touch/M-500/M80 configuration?

A thought: Instead of the M-500's I could get a pair of Monarchy Audio SE-100 Mark 2's (also about $1400, see http://www.monarchyaudio.com/SE100MK2.html). These have an extra XLR connector which can be used for bi-amping. Could I use the extra connector to drive a subwoofer? Would I need to get two subwoofers (left and right)?

My budget is a strict US$3000 for amp + speakers + cables.
