OK, so, before Thanksgiving, I decided to swap some components around in my Den's dedicated 2 channel system. A pair of Dahlquist DQM 905s, a pair of supertweeters atop, one of the Dahlquists atop a Velodyne 10" sub, Kenwood KA9100 amp, Sony XDRF1HD HD Radio Tuner and Ah! Njoe Tjoeb upgraded tube output CDP. Sounded great. Nothing wrong with it at all. So, when has good been good enough?

I swapped the Dahlquists out for the Axiom M50ti like Michaura M66s, set each atop its own Velodyne 10" sub, brought in the Sony DVP NS999ES SACD player.

After tweaking with the sub x-overs and volume settings, I chose my favorite FM analog jazz station (88.1) stepped back and Holy Samolies, this thing sounds great.

The twin subs really make a difference. What a rich, full sounding system this is!

So far, the only inputs available for the SACD are for the tape monitor, but I get only one channel. More work to do.

These Sony FM tuners are incredibly good. Anyone else using one of these?
