Pussy is a perfectly acceptable word. I know this because it's in a nursery rhyme book I used to read to my kids. It goes like this:

I love little pussy.
Her coat is so warm
And if I don't hurt her
She'll do me no harm.

Perfectly tame and non-double-entendre-able. Right?
