The max power of the EP175 is 175 watts. It is a class AB amplifier. The key to frequency ratings is the +/- db level they are rated at. This can get very confusing when transferring this data into the real world sound. A sub with a slow roll off in the low frequencies could actually have a higher low end frequency rating at say +/- 3 db but have more real world low bass than a sub with a lower frequency rating at +/- 3db but a steeper overall roll off in the low frequency. The EP175 has a slow roll off in the low frequencies and thusly significant output at 25 Hz and below.
