This device looks more like it would be exclusive to certain Axiom speakers and perhaps even specific to the version of that speaker because the listening windows may vary from version to version.
Unless I'm missing something, it still sounds like primarily a software thing. What I was thinking is that you would download a loudspeaker-specific, version-appropriate file for the device to use, kind of like downloading a driver for Windows. I can see an AVR or preamp not having enough spare processing power to be able to do whatever this device does. In any case, I'm probably going to want to be one of the first to try it out, so I'd better start saving.
