Very very beautiful but weird. I liked it and I plan on watching it again after I let it simmer for a while. If you like Studio Ghibli films then you will like this one. It is Irish on the surface, but Japanese at heart.

This is a must own for the animation fans out there. The artwork and visuals are stunning. Don't be fooled by the simplicity in the drawing of the characters.

The movie did terrible at the box office. I assumed it did well internationally but it barely registered. This movie is so Japanese in spirit I figured that it would dominate there( Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal out grossed ET there).
