It sounds to me like you may have fixed your sub problem are now left with a very common issue of ground loop hum. Does the sub make the hum when ther are no input cables connected? If it does then you definitely have an amp issue, if it is silent then you need to figure out where the ground loop is coming from or install an isolator.
