I use my 20-39 along with a Velodyne 12" in a 9.2 system for mostly home theater, though I love it for music as well. I have the sealed EP500 in a 2.1 music system, and agree that the sealed sub provides sharper attacks. I blew up a Kenwood SW300 and replaced the woofer with a Dayton Titanic 10". I use it as a stand for my printer. Nice big driver, but I didn't do a great job of sealing the woofer to the cabinet.

This has been a bad year for my subs. My twin 12" Epik Legend finally failed, one Dahlquist PDQ1500 started putting out acrid white smoke along with its powerful bass, and my second Dahlquist just stopped working.

I am looking at the Dayton twin 12" kit, but even at discount it is $850. Figure another EP500 or 2 will serve my 2 channel tube music system, but that's serious coin.

Tight, musical bass makes it all sound so much better!
