Alex, for an office setup, among the features that I'd want to have would be AM/FM reception, so I'd consider a receiver rather than an integrated amplifier. Nevertheless, considering the Linn unit, it appears to be so grossly overpriced, even at that lower number you mention, that it's not worthy of serious consideration.
Either the Marantz 1607 or 1608 should meet your needs, but if the "slim" height isn't a critical factor, the slightly higher Denon 1300 factory refurb available from
A4L would seem to be more cost-effective. Note the slightly higher power and higher grade of Audyssey.
