This CD has always been one of my favorires, and I always thought the mastering of it was pretty good considering the age of the recording.
I went into tower music today looking for the Dire Straits, Brother In Arms SACD, and luckily (this time) I got your average "poor service type" of salesperson who said, "Oh yea, we got." He preceded to take me to a 7.99 table and pull out Dire Straits/Dire Straits Remastered.
As it turns out they didnt have the Brothers In Arms SACD, (the same sales person said it didnt exist because it wasnt on their data base )
Anyway... I went ahead and got the remastered Dire Straits.
On most remastered CDs I dont notice much of a difference, but on this one, it was well worth the repurchase. Everything about the sound was more detailed. So, if you like it and or already have a copy, I would recommend getting the remastered copy.

Holy crap some days it sure is hard to get my point across.
