Hi-
I am considering getting the QS4's, and am wondering: how far can I mount them from the ceiling?
I have 12" total to work with, including the height of the speakers. This means since the QS4's are 6.5" H, this will give me 5.5" of space (roughly) between the top woofer and the ceiling.
Has anyone mounted them this close? Does it sound ok?
Thanks,
Nate

My QS8's are mounted with less then 5.5 inches of clearance. They sound great.

Cool, how close are yours? And did you ever have the QS4's, do the QS8's make a big difference? Thanks.

Mine are 4 inches from the ceiling. I haven't heard the QS4's, but there are a few on the forum that have. They'll chime in eventually. I'm betting they'll say to buy the 8's, if you have a big enough room and enough wallet to pay for them. How big is your room?

My room is 15x25. I actually have the m22 bookshelves in my room right now, and they sound plenty big enough. I think it may be the hardwood floors.

I've got the QS4s in a pretty long room and they're about 5 inches from the ceiling on one side due to heater ducting. They sound great paired with the 150 center and M22s up front. These speakers handle a lot of power so they aren't underpowered for my room.

Will the 4's or 8's be 25' or 15' apart?

The QS4's will be 15' apart, the room is 25' deep. The back 10' is an open kitchen, so in reality the TV area is about 15' total; it's roughly a 15x15 sq, with an extra 10 at the back. Thoughts?

I bet the 4's will do fine. My 8's are 23' apart. Get the 4's and do the 30 day free trial. You'll know within the first 5 dvd's, whether or not you like them.
