I personally think he got a great deal on some exotic speakers and is now ashamed to show his face on the boards. He hasn't even entered the drawing!

What's your theory? (If anything, this thread should give him a laugh if/when he returns.)

I think he is embarassed - not by any speakers he purchased though.

HE actually found himself in agreement with me on FIVE consecutive issues.

IT was more than he could bear ...

haha, guys. im here, just been chillin after my vacation.

unfortunately, once i got back to work, they had decided to restrict our internet access due to it being abused. i guess i was as guilty as the next guy, so i have no room to complain. and, being a union rep, i feel it is my responsibility to set a standard for which others on the floor should follow. so, i have quit using the internet all-together at work, and i have simply been very busy in the evenings to get on.

plus, last time i did log-on after vacation, there were like a few thousand posts i was behind on.. i was so overwhelmed, i just logged right back off.. so, i am slowly getting back in.

and i have just heard of the raffle thing.. i need info, hope i aint too late..?

Restricted internet at work eh?.....welcome to my world, B.J.

Sorry about the mess at your house, and all the beer cans in the pool, but.... we HAD to know, "once and for all" about those "custom" speaker grilles of yours.

Well the word he gave when he faded into the West Texas sunset was that the boss at work had locked everybody out of the internet, and he was too busy, with family, weekends and evenings. I suspect that, like some do, he also suffered from "forum burn out" (pure speculation on my part). Maybe he (gasp ) switched to another brand of speaker.

NAH! I do miss him.

The port fondling, grill color, and diaper jokes finally took their toll.

I find myself dropping by more in the colder months and then the thoughts of upgrading return, this could be his form of cure for the dreaded upgraditis.

bigjohn gave me a call the other day to tell me he was going to be in town and get some camera advice. I tried to give him a call back but couldnt find his # in my caller log.
Anyway.... A big part of the reason he quit posting is because he couldnt do it from work any longer and I think another part was just burnout.
I can relate.

He's here..... with me.

He is in an anti-cone touching rehab program. That is one SERIOUSLY tenacious deviant addiction to break.

OH! OH! I love cones! They come in so many different shapes and sizes! I can totally relate to the whole touching thing.

Don't know what to get your cones for Christmas? Here are some great gift ideas.

He is in Texas...perhaps they busted him on a "crimes against nature" charge for all the port fondling he did with his speakers. [in my best Texas accent] "Lock him up...that boy just ain't right."

Yeah...he's missed.

Sadly Bigjohn is not in Texas.

He has since moved to China where he and his family operate a bed and breakfast in downtown Beijing selling watered down Budweiser to the masses. Profits from this are being used to build China's first mile and a half banked oval track. The first NASCAR race is expected in 2009.

I also miss his posts.

Banjo's? Nah. You can play "dueling yueqin" just fine without one.
