I'm trying to solve an acoustics problem in an L-shaped room. What about adding a second pair of mains?

First pair of mains and sub located at top of the "L".

Sofa/main listening area along the base of "L", which is a long glass wall with two doors--so I cannot switch the sofa and the mains!#@!

Dining area in short leg of L. How about adding a 2nd pair of mains in the dining area at the end of short leg of the "L"?

This would certainly add sound to the dining area. But on the sofa, I would be getting sound from both sources.

Any advice?

Thanks.

They would disperse more sound, no doubt, but only if you're listening to background music would it be worthwhile.

Watching a movie would really sound bizarre with two sets of mains, or listening carefully to a CD would have no more stereo imaging and soundstage.

If you have a 5.1 system, try listening to music in 5 channel stereo to see if that satisfies you before buying more speakers, which leads to buying more cables and probably more amp power to feed the new ones!
