Hi All,
I recently picked up a Hitachi 50V500 LCD television. The picture is amazing, but, there is a VERY noticable fan noise. It is to the point where I am considering returing the set and getting a different one.
Has anyone had any experience with this model? I wonder if anyone has discovered a replacement fan for this model that is quieter. I have done some "googling" and searching in other AV forums, and not had any luck.

If it is under warranty, call your local dealer and have the fan replaced. This happened to a friend of mine with his new t.v. Not the same model as yours, however one of the fans was faulty and they replaced it under warranty.
