Just got a "new to me" vehicle and of course the boston acoustic speakers I have in my old vehicle will not fit in the new one. So I need a couple of reasonable priced 6X8's to start. Not sure if I am going to transfer my amp and sub just yet but probably will.

You ought to look at the CDT-Audio line of component speakers. They sound amazing, and are not all that spendy either.
