Thanks, dmn23 and Randy. I will buy a 8x10FT Rug for my living room. Hope that it helps. I am thinking to move the sofa a little bit close to the TV, then put the two QS8s on the back.

Thanks again,

thanwu

Alan from Axiom has mentioned that a nice throw/area rug helps a lot, along with furniture and wall coverings.

In reply to:

My plan is to purchase the M60 and VP100 first, then QS8s and Sub.

Han, don't forget that the fine folks from Axiom will give you an additional 5% off of your purchase if you buy 5 or more items (i.e. 2 mains, 2 surrounds + 1 center) at one time.

5% *may* not seem much but if you decide to go with the 10% off for Factory Outlet and an addition 5% for the purchase of 5 items (or more), that 15% total discount *might* be a deciding factor between the VP100 and the VP150!

But don't me influence you in any way.

Hi, Rick: thanks for the money saving tip. I talked to Brent from Axion audio. He told me that 98% of the time the outlet product are defect free, but i always worry a little bit. What's your experience?

Han, I've only bought one item from the factory outlet, an EP600 sub and that was just this past week so therefore I haven't received it as of yet but I'm not in the least concerned. Research the boards regarding other folks experiences with the factory outlet merchandise and I believe you'll find that most everybody never do find the first flaw.
I'll be ordering a VP150 from the factory outlet store soon and as with the sub, I will not have any worries whatsoever!

Ditto what Rick just said. My M22s are the only items I didn't buy through the outlet, and I still can't find a problem with my VP150, QS4s or EP175.

The same goes for my M80s, I never have found what was supposed to be the flaw.

Thank you all for the reponses! I have one last question before i place my order: Is the VP150 overkill for my living room compared to VP100?

Thanks,

You are sitting quite a distance back from the center channel (a bit less than 16 feet) so I would look hard at the VP150. The VP100 would be fine in the same room if you were sitting closer, say with a walkway behind the sofa...

I've had my Axiom setup for nearly a year and have as yet not found a single defect. I can only imagine what their A-stock looks like! I would seriously consider the VP150 with that setup. I think it would integrate better with the rest of your setup and give you a wider "soundstage" as they say.
