My old setup has a Harman Kardon AVR 320 with a Marantz 9000 Amp. Then I sold my Marantz and purchase a Denon 3805 due to space. So my setup now is only the Denon and I admit the sound is weaker compare to the old setup. Though I have not calibrate the system yet. Did I make the wrong decision to sell the Marantz?

I suggest you wait until you calibrate and tweak before you make a judgment about your decision.

I would say WHY ON EARTH DID YOU SELL THAT AMP..

Anyhow, I have one of those amps, and I would never sell it, over using the amp inside of a receiver.. the marantz is just SOO clean, and powers the speakers so effortlessly..


But, sense what is done is done, I would say don’t sweat it, calibrate your system, and
A) don’t worry about it enjoy what you have now..
B) buy another you can get them off of ebay for about 600$...
