Last night I was listening to one of my favorite DVD-audio discs, Beck 'Sea Change' in 5.1 surround.

Let me just say that with my Axiom M60s M22s and VP150 the sound is so clear, so crisp, so amazing, so perfect when sitting in the sweet spot in my room, that it blows my mind.

I had to leave my house so I jumped into my car where I have also invested quite a bit of time and money into my audio system. (Nice amp, sub and aftermarket speakers and cdplayer)

I put in the regular cd of Beck 'Sea Change' because I was having such a great time listening to it. I tracked up to the particular song I was listening to on my home system.

ARRRGGGGG DARN AXIOMS. The disc sounded AWFUL in my car. There was no imaging whatsoever. You couldn't place a location for the vocals if your life depended on it. The bass was crazy muddy boom boom. It sounded like somebody put muffles over the speakers, and slapped both sides of my head over my ears causing a terrible audible sensation. I hated it. And its all Axioms fault. They have ruined my car stereo. Thanks a lot.

So lets go Axiom. Time to make some car stereo speakers.

Sea Change is in heavy rotation on my systems as well. It does sound especially good on the Axioms but it also sounds very good in my car system. What kind of speakers and sub did you put in the car? Granted nothing is going to compare to the 5.1 on the Axioms.

Boston Acoustic Speakers. Good speakers and would probably sound great if my ears were on my ankles. Haven't gone component yet which obviously I should.

Sub right now is a bazooka which I know is not accurate. I am thinking of getting a Hsu and making my own box. I made my own enclosure before and it was tuned very well.

I have component MB Quart in front and coax in the rear fill. I have a sub I would heartily recommend. They are internet only and have amazing quality to price ratio. Sound familiar (Axiom). I bought mine about a year and a half ago. I absolutely love it and would put it up against anything JL Audio has in there line.

Well worth looking into. I built my own sealed box. This thing really kicks and it is very accurate.
