I don't own a Marantz myself but their reputation is excellent.

I say you just buy a cheap a$$ Sony HTIB, ditch the speakers, and hook the AVR/DVD combo up to your trick Axioms. It states they are rated at 100 watts per channel.. ha ha

I've also heard great things(ok, from the Bose ads)about their DVD player!!....it only requires two front speakers and a sub(module)and you have something like 13.1 surround!!!

Sounds almost too good to be true!!!!

Only costs 1300 USbucks.....but there's a huntret off for a while!!

Yup,...a DVD player, two palm of your hand one pound speakers, and a sub module for only 1200!!!

I own a NAD T763. Count me as "Other"

i have a marantz reciever, and a marantz amp, and a nad processor.. i like the NAD processor much more than the marantz reciever (was using the reciever only as a processor.. and i love the marantz amp.. will be a very long time before i buy another amp...

my current set up is a NAD T 163 processor -> marantz mm9000 amp.. sound is crazy.. very clear.. and i think the nad sound processing is much better than the marantz unit i had, the NAD is more better?... cant come up with a good word, the nad just sounds much better to me than the marantz did.. keep in mind im using the same marantz amp.. so its only in the processing of the audio.. not amplification.
