I decided a long time ago to purchase an Axiom system....with M60 as towers. Now I am within weeks of purchasing my entire system (I wanted to wait until I could do it all at once...speakers, receiver, etc)and I am wondering if I should instead go with the M80 tower. How much of a step above is the M80 over the M60? Is this a large improvement?

From what I understand, the M80 sounds close to the M60 but offers more bass reproduction and fills a larger room overall. Other than those two factors, what else could I expect to gain if I went with the M80 over the M60?

The first thing that comes to mind is a smaller bank account.

Apart from that I think the volume of your room should be one of the main factors you take into account. Are you using a sub?
