BTW my vote is a couple of weeks. I like a sparsely populated theater. And I'll be watching it at home too. I'm assuming it will be worth the $ to buy the DVD. Imagine those ape footfalls!

I'm done with premieres. They were fun for the re-releases of the original star wars, but now I'm more patient. I'll see Kong whenever I get to it. Of course, that's what I said about SW:III, and I still haven't seen it.

I'll be waiting for the dvd version to appear. Might be a while, but lots of movies to watch at home before this one gets viewed for me.

I rarely make the trip to commercial theaters unless it's Star Wars or The Matrix (although, I did see the new HP movie at the Cinedome) but I'll definitely be seeing Kong. It'll be the new definitive Kong film. I'll also be making the trip, with the kids, to see Chronicles of Narnia on Sunday.

So, evenly divided between see it in a couple of weeks and wait for DVD. FOUR not slightly interested! I do have sympathy with the vote for the original. If I had a large screen I MIGHT wait for the DVD, but as I don't I won't. Big screen has to wait for the upsized house.

I find this to be the case for just about every new movie out. My 80s and 500 make movies a whole new experience.

There was talk a little while back about releasing DVD's the same time the movie comes out in theathers. Wouldn't that be nice for us Axiom owners
