I have a 50" panasonic plasma, Yamaha 2600 and the room is about 3700 cubic feet, 12x12x26. Will the 7.1 80-160 system be a good choice ? I'm a rookie that likes action flicks.

Greg, welcome. I assume that you mean the EP600 sub with the Epic 80 system, and in your size room that should be excellent and give you plenty of bass. The 2600 is a fine receiver to run it.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.
