Hey Johnny, Actually the HK's should have no problem driving any of Axiom's speakers. A lot depends on what you want out of a system? Music or HT use, or both? Would you prefer floorstanding or bookshelfs or wall mounted? Do you like to crank it up at times?

By the way welcome....

I like explosions in movies and I want to hear every single thing break and every piece of whatever it is hit the ground or floor. If a glass breaks, I want to hear every single chard hit the floor (as long as it was blown up). If the Starship Enterprise blows up the Borg, I want to hear the pieces of the collective tearing apart.

I hope this clears things up. Oh, yeah, I like to hear that loud.

Sometimes I like drama and alternative music, but not as often. I guess it is important to hear what the actors are saying

Thanks.

What is your budget? You may also want to go through the "Home Theater Wizzard" at the top of the page, it will ask you tons of questions and then recommend a speaker setup for you. Then you can talk to the rest of us for further advice. For surround speakers you have to go with Qs8's or Qs4's, they are the best surrounds in the business in my opinion. I used to use bookshelfs and sounds passed by you, now they go through you. Also, you need a good sub. Axiom makes a whole line of great subs depending on your budget and needs.

All of the Axiom speakers will do a good job of this (first time I heard the helicopter crash in the Matrix with M2s, VP100 and a sub I could hardly believe it was the same DVD); the difference is in how loud they can play and how big a room they can fill with "loud".

Definitely sounds like you need M60s if you want to be really happy with the dynamics.

Bump the receivers power a bit and get the M80s for the mains.

Part of the decision depends on what you have experienced and what your expectations are. I just bough an HK AVR240 along with a pair of M22Ti's and a VP150. I am using my older sub and surrounds but the sound is fantastic and plays plenty loud. The AVR 240 will drive any of the axiom speakers but if you can afford the Epic 60 or Epic 80, you may upgrade to the 435 or 635 just for good measure. It sounds like your budget is unlimited.

Why does it sound like my budget is unlimited?
