Decided to go with Epic 60's with VP150 & can't decide on EP350 vs. EP500. Going in 14'x 20' room that opens up in rear to another room, 8' ceilings in HT area. Pushing w)RXV2600 receiver. Is 350 not enough or is 500 too much? Don't want the ceiling downstairs to come apart. Is there that much difference in the two? If I order the 350 will I regret or wonder if I should have gotten the 500? Anyone gone with 350 & upgraded to 500?
Need advice!
Thanks,
Don

I own an EP 350 and a 600 ... while the 350 is a good sub there is really no comparison, the 600 as well as the 500 are quite a (major!) step up from the 350. Knowing what I know about the 350 and 500, it would be the 500...hands down!

The 350 would probably be more than adequate for that room. But why not go nuts if you got the cash?

If you can spring for the EP500, then go for it. That way you won't have any regrets.

I've had the 350 for about a year now, and it performed well in our upstairs 15' x 18' x vaulted ceilings room. It also did a fine job in my monster basement HT room that is pushing 900 sq ft with 9' ceilings. However, I did just recently upgrade to the 500 and it is amazing, but again my room is huge. You could always order from the Factory Outlet and get an additional 10% off.

You could also buy the 350 if you decide before the 30days you want to upgrade just call axiom and pay the difference between the 2 subs. i have the same setup as your looking at with the 350 and im happy. but the 500 was not available when i purchased mine or else i would have gone that route just because i was ready to spend money. now i might upgrade the sub but its not at the top of my list.

Jokes aside, you can try the 350, 30 day trial. You got nothing to lose except shipping it back which really isn't much.
If I could have afforded the 500, I'd have it. But I was buying and building an entire basement all all equipment for it so I had to cut something somewhere. But I hardly feel I "cut corners" with the VTF3

I bought my speakers, including the EP350, about 2 months before the EP500 & EP600 came out. Had they been out when I purchased my set, I would have at least gone with the EP500.
I live in a townhouse, so I know my neighbors can already hear my system. I'm sure it would be worse with the 500 and definitely worse with the 600. For right now, I like the 350.

Agree....for those of us with close neighbors, a smaller sub is a must!
