I don't claim to know Axiom's design philosophies, but they may have designed the 22's to work with a sub, where you would want as flat of a response as possible to promote a smooth transition through the crossover region. The M3 may have a bump down low, because they knew that many would use it without a sub, where you would want the perceived bass increase so you would not feel you were missing something down low. Just a thought

Jake, if you do some searching, I'm pretty sure Tharkun posted how surprised he was at the amount of bass his W3's put out.

I find this thread interesting. I'm considering one of these for a bar area, strickly music, all top 40, rock, alternative, some rap, dance music, all stuff the women play during a party. The room has laminate hardwoord, the uniclic stuff, it's in a basement with a subfloor, 8' ceilings. At first I will not be putting a sub down there.

which ones? I like a speaker that has a nice detailed highs, decent bass ( considering it's a bookshelf and all) and not too much mids. I love my m80's.

We had three hurricanes bop thru here year before last, and I took my M3s along with us on all three evacuations.

True story.

Finer things in life? Yeah; the M3s too.
