My firefox at home blocks valid sites like schwab.com. Where in firefox do I "delete" that from the bad sites?

It shouldn't block anything...what do you mean by "block"?

Popups?

If it is anything like IE, you should be able to alter your security settings for firefox, any browser without this capability would be one I would not use.

From what Dan mentions, Firefox must not block URL's in your exception lists, so do you have any other popup blocker installed? ASPX webpages can sometimes be blocked by pop-blocker like Google Toolbar or Yahoo Toolbar, etc.

Could you be running the dark, evil presence known as "Norton Internet Security" ? It seems to do a wonderful job of keeping my friends off the Internet and giving me an excuse to go over and drink their beer...

OT, but I haven't hijacked anybody's thread in a while.

Since Norton is evil, do I get McAfee or CA (ETrust) or what? I have 3 machines at home that will all need new antivirus software pdq.

TIA.

Well, I'd go with Norton over MacAfee (they're more evil--familiar with lying fake alert box popup ads?). Avast! Antivirus seems halfway decent, but I've never been in a position to see it detect a virus, so I'm not certain about that one.

Have been using Avast on two boxes here for over a year and has worked well so far.

Well, my inner Pirate loves the idea of Avast!

Something is more evil than Norton? Gad.

It doesn't allow schwab.com to open. We do have Norton, but this happens even if Norton is disabled.

Man, I can't wait till the ibook MacIntels come out...
