My m22s arrived this morning, a whole week ahead of schedule. I must be living right. I promptly blew off an afternoon of thesis work to try them out.

I started with my demo disk I had been using during my evaluation of all the local contenders and then pulled out a dozen disks I hadn't listened to in ages. FANTASTIC.

I get giddy thinking how good its going to be once I match up a sub.

I played around with speaker height and I'm thinking the 24" stands will put the sound where I want it.

Here's the question. The tall stands seem aimed at the m2 and m3. Has anybody tried the m22s on the tall stands. Am I going to have stability problems? Are they going to land on my daughter's head?

Thanks

I'm embarrased to admit that I can only help with one of your questions:

To do that; I need to know:

How TALL is your daughter?

Welcome to the club
Rich.

Go with the stands that put the sound where you want it -- the 16" thing is just a ballpark based on average people heights, furniture heights etc...

Pick stands that will let you drop bags of sand or steel shot in the bottom of the support tube(s) to keep the stands stable. You can get some sticky stuff (blu-tac ?) that will help hold the speakers onto the stands. Finally, if you can't run the speaker wires up inside the stand then use a couple of tastefully applied cable ties to secure the cable to the stand so you don't have to worry about a tug on the cable bringing a speaker down on your daughter.

Just as important(although not a "safety" issue) is to keep that vol control up out of reach!

Ouch!!
