Axiom Home Page Forums General Discussion Stereo Denon 2106?

Can anyone tell me if this is a good receiver? I can't afford more then around $500.00 right now and this one sure looks good. But I've never owned a Denon before and I don't know much about receivers anyway. So any input would be appreciated,thanks!

I bought the M60's and the VP150 and QS8 speakers, just waiting for them to come.

R.T. that would be a great receiver, in fact, it is very similar to my 2805 I bought about a year ago. It will make those Axioms sound awesome.

That reciever will be great. In case you are intersred Lorenzo1000 posted a good link for a refurb 3805 at a great price in the Home Theatre area.

Thanks Randy! So is the 2805 a better way to go? There's not a lot of difference in the price.

Actually, the 2106 is a newer model I believe than the 2805, which was out a year or so ago. The 2805 listed for around $900 and I bought mine for $730 I think. If you can get a 2106 for less, I'd go for it then. I believe the 2106 replaced the 2105, which was also a great receiver. Just make sure you buy from an authorized Denon dealer for warranty support if needed.
