I was flipping channels friday night, and came across CNN's Larry King live.
Paul McCartney,& his wife were on, talking about Canada's, up coming baby seal "hunting" season.
Is that true? I thought that went away in the 80's?....anyway, they said most from Canada are also against it.

I am curious as to how those here, (on the forum) from Canada, feel.
I mean,....who buys those pelts these days, anyway?

I am NOT an activist type, nor do I normally, get involved in political debates, but...........I think this may actually be the ONE time, when a cheaper, product (faux fur) from a factory in China,.......would actually be a good thing.

Why would anyone want to hunt down Seal? I like his music.

Everything the McCartneys said was true 30 years ago, but we changed our laws back in the late 70s and they don't seem to have updated their information. Killing little white baby seals was banned in the 70s. Clubbing was banned in the 70s, along with live skinning and all of the other things the McCartneys are trying to stop.

Heck, touching the damn things is illegal now. Not only did the McCartneys break a bunch of laws for their photo ops Heather nearly had her fingers taken off when one of those cute white baby seals snapped at her.

I like McCartney but just because someone makes great music doesn't make them an authority on everything else...

The seal hunting season?

Oh, hell.. that's the highlight of my winter... I've packed up my hardtack and salted fish, going to head down to Portage and Main and wait with my club. Maybe build an igloo or a quinzee...

We are definitely still hunting seals, but with a whole whack of rules including "don't touch the white baby seals".

Killing things is good, as long as they're not cute.

A moral to take away from all this.

I bet if you shaved it first, it wouldn't be cute.

Now come on,......you said before that the seals were NOT being hunted.
I have come to trust information on this forum, to be totally accurate.

Hmmmm, just maybe....fancy speaker wires really DO make a difference in sound quality, unlike what some here say to the contrary.
