dont buy a cheap reciever. Get a quality componet that you know you will be happy with.

Haoleb, I'm actually planning on using one of these 3 processors as a kind of stop-gap for about a year until I can hopefully afford something higher end (AVM 20 if they're still around). So that's why I want to see if anyone thinks I'm sacrificing too much in the short term. Do you think the cheapest solution, the Yamaha, might be a little too much of a sacrifice?

I guess if thats the way you wanted to do it. But it just seems to me like that just sets you back further. Instead of buying something thats will get you by, i would just save up until you can afford what you want and do it right the first time. Thats been the way ive put my system together and am glad i did it that way.

I think that makes sense to me too, Haoleb. I guess the theory is sound (no pun intended), buy the best equipment you can afford.

Something I probably should have added is that the Anthem/NAD dealer (different from Rotel dealer) offered me 75% back on purchase price on the 752 if I bring it back within a year to get an AVM 20. That makes that option pretty enticing. But I guess I'll get a better idea what the best option is for the money when I get them home...
