How about something bigger? Like quad woofers, quad mids and dual tweeters on top of a built in active sub. Something about 6' tall that will just shake the walls all on its own. Maybe in the shape of a pyramid, with a white light pointing out the top like the Luxor in Vegas.

How about a monster center channel that goes TW-WTW-WT and sprays in three directions - 35 degrees left, forward and 35 degrees right?

I'm not suggesting that my M60s or the VP150 aren't big enough, but...WDADLHB?BHC

How about something like this speaker with eight ribbon tranducers and 9 woofers?

how about a pair of m160ti,-i asked allen over the phone shortly after i got my m80s when these were coming out(just a proto-type in my head),just take a pair of m80s and put one upside-down on the other and build it into one cabinet-and at 2200 (cost of 2 pairs)us dollars, and if that could be done, and still have the same sound quality as the m80s,but twice as loud, that would absolutly be the best audio value on the market.i would definetly order them....well, where are they?.....ron

Actually, that looks pretty cool. If I knew those were the real deal I'd be willing to give that a try. What would you do if you put those together and they sounded like crap?

The doubled up M80s sounds good (but with a wider base to keep them from tipping over).

Hmm. My current favorites are mojitos and caipirinhas, as well as the old standby of margaritas. Mmmm, margaritas....

I've got three M160's, I use them as LCR's in my theatre setup. I am trying to post the photos; however, I am having difficulty, not sure how to get them from my desk top to the post.

Rick, you need a website or online file server to use as a base for posting pictures/images.

That's a pretty sight. BTW, we were discussing good beers before. My personal favorite stout is the Anderson Valley Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout. A big chewy beer, not at all like Guiness, with the flavor of an alcoholic oatmeal-chocolate chip cookie. Soooo good. Like Guiness, best in draught form (they don't have the widgets in bottle or can, unfortunately).

OK, here's this one.

84 tweeters, 42 midrange drivers, and eight 18" woofers.

Same link as Peter's. Ha ha!

Add:
Did you guys see the shots of the factory? It looks (to my uneducated eye) like they think they're going to sell so many of them that they're building them before they've been ordered! Does anyone else smell a company collapse in the near future?

Okay, let's just morph EVERY thread into a beer thread

You mentioned Whiskey Sours - I am absolutely in love with Maker's Mark Bourbon. I keep trying and failing to find something I like better at any price. Great bourbon, cool people and a cool website too - http://www.makersmark.com

On the Stout question - I've got to say I think Guinness survives on marketing and mystique alone. I like the Anderson Valley too. Also try Obsidian Stout from Deschutes and Shakespeare Stout from Rogue (comes in a small bottle).

Black and Tans are a crime against nature.

If I remember right, that is one serious "taste it the next day" IPA. Maybe I'm getting old, but those IPAs seem to be getting a little outrageous. Like those speakers.

Yeah, you could say that it has a lot of flavor. :-) I really like the big, hoppy American pale ales. Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale is another good one.

I remember liking the Anchor Liberty Ale quite a bit. More refined than the Sierra Nevada Pale. Haven't had that Celebration Ale. Getting thirsty. Is it noon yet?

I just posted this in another thread, but it warrants repeating. If you love IPAs, look no further than

Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA (Healdsburg, CA)

Chess old man.. The head on that pint of Quinness doesn't quite look up to standard ?? Did you pour it at the correct volume ??
Hey, wait just a minute here!! Upon closer examination, it appears someone may have helped themself to a quick nip !!
My final question to you sir, why weren't the rest of us invited over ???
PS: You do get points for using the correct glass :-)

LFE ! The rest is just details..

And therein lies the problem. One good nip off the top and you've destroyed a perfectly good picture of a Guinness cascading pour.

I didn't have enough glasses.

Hey, I worked at an Inn in Ireland one summer - real Guiness drinkers can make a happy face in the head and still have it visible when the drink is . . . drunk? It takes skill, but they seem to take it seriously enough - practicing every night if they have to to impress.
