well being reasonably new i would like some thoughts. I have heard the M22's and must say they look and sound great. However I am looking starting to upgrade and thought of matching a HK DPR 2005 receiver ( brand new and cheap) or a denon 3805, with the m22's QS4 for the time being and later ( when I get more funds) going for the sub Ep 500. What I am really looking at is matching a receiver to the speakers any advice for be of great assistance

Either of the two receivers you are looking at will do great, Imho get the one that has the features you like best.

Lots of good receivers in the range of those. Look for features and connections you like.

Meistro, welcome. There's no need to "match" a receiver to the M22s. Unless you would be considering a very low-powered unit that wouldn't handle the peak sound levels the M22 could supply, there'd be no problem. Both of the units that you mention would have more than enough maximum power capacity, so choose one of them(or another similar unit)based on features and price.
