Just wondering what you guys think of the EP350. The pluses and minuses. If anyone should know it would be the Axiom owners I hope.

Thanks, Daman

Jim, a lot depends on your room size as well as what you plan to use it for, what % of music and/or movie watching?

I owned a 350 for a year or so and was very pleased with its performance. Originally, it was used upstairs in our living room area which is about 15' x 20' with slight vaulted ceilings. I would say I use my system for 60% movies and 40% music.

I've since completed my basement refinishing project. The HT/RecRoom is about 30' x 30' x 9' ceilings. I updated to an EP500 a few months back, but not before I used the 350 for a few months. The 350 did a very good job in that large space, and most people would be satisified.

The problem is all these other crazy Axiomites that said I needed to give a 500 a chance. I'll tell you, the 350 is no slouch, but the 500 makes the hairs on my legs stand up some times.

How big is your room?

Another option, is to check the Audition Thread in the Hearing Things forum, to see if anyone is in your area that will let you audition a 350.

Good Luck

Jim, I also owned the 350 prior to upgrading to the 500, I was more than satisfied with the sound and the performance of the 350, but like Randy I was curious to give the 500 a listen, and was to say the least blown away by the 500.
So back to the point, if I had never heard the 500, I would have been very happy with the 350, no minuses that I can think of.

Daman,
The your choice will dependent upon your room size, listening habits, and need for SPL. An EP350 may be enough for some, but not enough for others.

I love my EP500, but will probably get another one or upgrade to the EP600 get more headroom. But that's just me.

Thanks Guys,
My listening will be 75% music and 25% cable. My other system will handle movies VTF3- MKII. The room is rather small 12x14. A TV and my computer are setup and I like to listen to music while surfing the net. I always wondered how the Axiom subs would sound.

Seems like all of you have no problems with them, that's great. Maybe I'll give one a try. Worse comes to worse I'm out shipping.

Thanks LOADS!!!
Daman,(JIM)

I don't believe you need as much sub for music as you would need (want) for movies. Sound quality is another issue however.

Just an observation, I haven't heard any of the Axiom subs myself.

You need to get a 500/600 to replace that VTF3. _

I've got the 350 in a 20'x15' room open on one side. I use it 80% movies, 20% music and I've got to say I love it.

There are however two things you need to know about me.

1) Unlike most I have no desire to hear timbers moaning when I crank up the sub. I just want a nice rumble without it trying to destroy the house.

2) Unlike almost everyone else I am very content with the 350 and feel absolutely no need at all to ungrade. Thats also the same way I feel about my 60s. ....sorry Axiom

good luck with your decision.
