Jason Thorpe's SoundStage! review of the M80Ti had some harsh words about the upper mid-range -- he states another reviewer did not have the "problem", and he attributes his dislike for the upper mid-range harshness on certain recordings to speaker placement. Is this person a buffoon or neophyte in audio circles? I really enjoy the M22tis midrange, and now am considering adding M80s to my room and I'd expect the M80s to exhibit equal or better mid-range characteristics. Please say it's so.

It is so. The M80 midrange is in fact quite similar to the M22 midrange but with an even better depth of image.
