Hi

I just received a pair of M22's and a VP150 which I plan to integrate into a 5.1 setup along with a pair of Atlantic Technology surrounds and an older 10" Klipsh sub. I'm driving the set with a Denon 3805 in a 16X20 space with 9 foot ceilings.

My question has to do with how best to blend my new Axioms with my old sub. I've read a bunch on the subject and have come to the conclusion that there are no easy solutions. For starters I have set the internal crossover in the reciever to 80Hz and have set my sub crossover to the same.

Does anybody have any experience and / or suggestions about how I should proceed? Is the crossover point I have selected too low for these bookshelves?

Thanks -

Although I can't comment on your speakers, I can say this is a two person job. Keep making adjustments till it sounds good to you. It will take some time, but time well spent.

Two ways to do this but with the M22s i think most will agree, turn the receiver cross to 80Hz, turn the subwoofer cross all the way up to 'remove' it from the loop.
The receiver will blend the two units at 80Hz.

Basically what you are saying is let the source do the work.
