I replaced my rear projection crt with a new toshiba 46hm95 dlp. On the old rpcrt i was able to set the center channel on top, but these new dlps dont really have any top, so I am looking for a mount for my center channel that will put the center above the tv like before. The tvs front is about 18inches from the wall which means the centers front has to be about 18inches from the wall. Axioms full metal bracket is not ideal for this situation. Does anyone know a good center channel wall mount that fits my needs that will work with the vp150? Thanks everyone.

Not sure how your going to keep the VP150 out that far from the wall, do you have some wall studs in the wall behind that area? You could just mount it on the wall a little higher and point it down slightly. Maybe others will have some options..

A number of the brick and mortar stores also have the Omnimount stand in stock. I got mine at BestBuy for the same price on the internet and didn't have to wait for shipment and delivery. It should do you just fine.

I was wondering how to mount a center channel over a plasma tv as well. I have been looking at shelf brackets and I was going to build a shelf over the tv using two brackets and a board, I know I have seen 18" brackets but today I couldn't find any quite that deep, here is a nice selection of decorative brackets though

The full metal bracket from Axiom works very well and is very strong. Of course you'll be mounting it to the wall and not a TV. I'd rather mount to a wall myself.

He mentions that could be an issue since his TV is about 18" from the wall.
