I just clicked on my screen name to see what my new profile looked like to others and it gives my member #! Is this new? Well, I'm # 258! I guess that makes me an "old" member, but my status is still only "local"! I had better start posting some more!

I'm more worried about the avatar Axiom has given me--a silhouette with a question mark in my head.

I think it's fitting.

Yes, I remember Sushi! Where is he now? I remember the pictures of his home theater. It was very lovely! Also, if I recall, he was really an advocate for the projector and screen. I'm not sure if many of us had that type of setup back then. Now that he's gone, I think sirquack has taken up that position for him.

I remember Sushi well. We had been to each other houses twice for listening sessions. I even brought my Magnepans over for him to audition once (he told me that he was going to replace his Hales with Maggies). It was a very pleasant experience. Then he became a ghost and stopped posting on the boards and didn't reply to emails or phone messages left on his machine. I hope he comes back to the boards someday.

Sushi stopped posting almost exactly when I started. BOY! That was a lousy trade, eh? At least he knew what he was talking about.

Jack, as much as we miss Sushi, we would miss you just as much or more if you left! I also believe you certainly know what you're talking about when you are able to help people...and you do so a lot. So, don't say you were a lousy trade. Instead, you were a nice addition!

783...I knew I was somewhere in the top 1000. I know I got the speakers in 3/2003 and saw that I registered 3/9/2003, so I guess I didn't waste much time. I know I looked for many months before that, so I think I had it pretty well narrowed down before I signed up here.

#283 here and I remember back in the days before a registration was required to post that you could post as "anonymous". Posted as such quite a few times deriding some of the bizarre audio beliefs that seemed to be much more prevalent on the board at that time.

Sushi(Dr. Yanagisawa) seems to be doing very well professionally and I noticed that he was the keynote speaker last month at a conference in Florida on sleeping disorders. Yes, he certainly is missed.

*bumP*

I just noticed my member number (begin dirty jokes... NOW!) is 3999, whereas it used to be 4007.

Wha-happen!

Sounds like maybe your member status is decreasing with old age ... I believe it's normal. Not that *I* would know anything about that.

I'm 2593. Don't recall what I was before or if it was ever different.

Same as before: 901.

Wait, it's not the same as before. It used to be 900.

Oh my god, I'm Bose!

I lost 3 numbers. Was 1632; now 1629. What a coincidence!!!! That's the year I was born.

Jack, I think you may have mixed up the numbers a bit there. My sources have it as 1296.

I stand corrected (actually, at my age, I'm in the prone position) . \:\)

#1337

I wish.

#3822

EDIT: By adding or subtracting 1 to each digit, then rearranging, I could possibly come up with 1337. Subtract 1 from 8, subtract 1 from 2, add 1 to 2, rearrange. LEET. Bed Time?
